City Of Waynesboro: Seeking highly motivated professional individuals to establish an eligibility list to fill current/future vacancies for Firefighter. Must possess H.S. diplo ma or equivalent, Virginia State certified training or recognized equivalent in the following: Firefighter I, Haz-Mat Awareness, E.M.T.- B, and E.V.O.C. Class 3, valid Virginia driver’s license, (copies must be submitted with application). Selected applicants will be required to maintain all above stated certifications, as well as obtain certification as Virginia DPO, DAO, Firefighter II, Haz-Mat Operations, and vehicle extrication within 12 months of hire, and any additional requirements established by the department. Preference may be given to candidate’s possessing ALS certification. All applicants must submit an original certificate issued from the Regional Firefighter Testing Certification Program that is still valid or currently be employed in a similar position with another jurisdiction within the state.
