We come from many different professions and backgrounds, but we get together in the Choral Society to share our love for music and present several concerts each year. We usually do one Christmas Concert, and one Spring concert each year. Normally these each include an informal 1st half where we dance a bit and clown around, then a formal second half. Our group MEMORIZES all the music for these two concerts. In addition, we normally do at least one SACRED concert each year where we present a musical service at some area church in place of their regular worship service. For the last seven years we have also hosted a benefit concert for the Salvation Army during the Christmas Season. This benefit concert features a number of local musicians besides our group. If you like good Choral music and live in the Waynesboro, Staunton, or even Charlottesville area. You should consider joining us, either as a spectator or as a singer!
Beverley Street Studio School

The Beverley Street Studio School was formed by artists in 1992. The mission was to provide serious adult students of all levels with opportunities to study directy with practicing artists in an informal, yet structured studio environment. Through programs of weekly classes, weekend workshops, international study tours and exhibitions, the school offers high-quality, non-degree art instruction tailored to each individual's level.

Purpose
The sole purpose and mission of BSSS is to teach the practice and appreciation of visual art. This focus defines our special area of service to the community and distinguishes us in important ways from other community art centers and organizations. All programs of the school derive from this singular mission.

The broader, philosophical intent behind the founding of BSSS was to create a community of individuals bound together by the desire to cultivate and explore art as "a way of living a life," to quote Robert Henri. The specific tasks of teaching drawing and painting are pursued in the belief that promoting love for the quest of understanding and appreciating art, the artistic process, and human culture, is intrinsically life-enhancing and a positive force in society.
